The Business Manager will oversee and manage all administrative functions and all company assets including safety, easement, one calls, pipelines, inventory, shop, data collection, invoicing and accounts receivable.  The Business Manger will NOT oversee overall company management, business development, water permitting, pipeline projects, pipeline construction, or day-to-day operations of water transfer crews.

 DUTIES

  • Direct reports for the BM include Office Administrator, Safety Manager, Land Manager, Asset Manager and Shop Manager.
  • Develop operation and maintenance procedures for pipeline system. Ensure and monitor compliance with plan.
  • Work with Operations leadership and personnel to implement processes and procedures to ensure a high-performance safety culture.
  • Oversee all incident investigations and reporting
  • Develop equipment and fleet maintenance plan. Ensure and monitor compliance with plan.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for administrative duties.
  • Develop file retention system.
  • Assist General Manager in other duties as assigned
  • Develop and manage process to obtain data and information used in invoicing customers and cost tracking.
  • Coordinate customer invoice signing function
  • Coordinate cost reporting, including employee hours, equipment hours, and third-party costs via purchase orders
  • Analyze financial performance on a monthly basis, identify key performance metrics, and provide performance metric progress reports to management

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position; including 4+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Superior inter-personal skills and decision making judgment
  • Team building and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects on tight deadlines with limited direction
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.
