The Construction Project Manager is a vital part of the JMAC team and will be responsible for the profitability and success of projects. This position will estimate heavy civil oilfield construction and private projects, complete bids, meet with owners, prepare takeoffs, review plans and specs, scheduling, assist superintendents, coordinate with subcontractors, prepare and review billings and track costs.  The project manager will play a key role in the bidding and design/build process.  This person will also be responsible for business development, building new customers and cultivating existing relationships.  The primary work that the Project Manager will be involved in is 1 day to 2 week projects and is fast pace.



  • Perform all operations using safety best methods, other operating best methods, and in compliance with JMAC Resources' safety policies and practices
  • Bid work that is assigned by General Manager and other Project Managers
  • Bill out jobs and work with accounting to create invoices
  • Utility One Calls
  • Establish relationships and communicate with clients and company management; resolve issues and problems that involve cost or budget changes
  • Establish new customers using business development methods
  • Maintain owner, engineer, subcontractor, and vendor relations
  • Manage construction through communications with the superintendents and foremen to ensure quality projects are built on time and on budget
  • Establish, implement, and monitor administrative procedures for the projects.
  • Prepare budget and financial reporting to present to management.
  • Maintain prime contract and subcontract documents.
  • Ensure applications for payment and collection are properly prepared and submitted on time
  • Keep management informed on progress of project and budget.
  • Supervise completion of punch list and follow up all warranty work
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management
  • Establish subcontractors for the projects, write and issue subcontracts.



  • Demonstrated proficiency in civil construction methods civil construction materials and industry best methods and requirement.   Possess in-depth knowledge of all types of civil construction and have a strong knowledge of heavy equipment capabilities and productions
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing execution of  multiple projects leading to high quality results and timely completion within budget
  • Coordinate work for 30 to 40 operators daily
  • Strong communication, proactive problem solving, interpersonal skills, and sales abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in dynamic, changing circumstances
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge and experience in estimating process and competitive bidding Oil Field Civil, Pipeline, and service work
  • Minimum of five years construction experience in a Project Manager role.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management,  or equivalent training
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Heavy Bid or similar estimating software; Primavera, Microsoft Office or similar scheduling software; Heavy Job;
  • Trimble, Business Center and take off software is a plus
  • Physical ability lift and carry 25 pounds
  • Physical ability to safely function in/around a construction worksite and kneel crouch, bend, and reach with hands/arms
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
